Painter's life

Ramil Ahmedov was born on February 6 in 1982 in Sharur in Nackchivan Autonomous Republic in Azerbaijan Republic. His father is a businessman and his mother is a housewife. Ramil has two brothers; Shahin and Javid.

The painter is paralysed since his birth. Being paralysed became problem for him to go to school. He never went to the school, but studied home. Since his childhood drawing has been his most entertaining activity. Growing up, the passion for drawing became a creativity for him. In earlier times it was only drawing some movie artists on a paper with a pen. Since 1996 he is into professional painting. During the way to the top of painting, he used the help of books about Painting, Art and he watched TV programs about painting.

Although Ramil never been to the nature, most of his works are related to nature. Ramil works on various genres: Portrait, still life, panorama and theme. His first work with oil paint was painted in 1997. His art gallery has more than 70 artworks. The painter generally works with pen and oil paint.

Ramil's paintings have been exhibited in 8 fairs, 3 being personal and 5 being general art fairs. Ramil's paintings first exhibited in the contest named "Yurdumuza Novruz gelir" (Novruz is coming to our country) which was organised by The Ministry of Youth and Sport of Nackchivan Autonomus Republic. Ramil participated in the contest with his 9 paintings and was awarded first place in the contest. In the same year his 60 paintings were exhibited in his first personal exhibition in Nackchivan Trade Center.

Ramil's second personal exhibiton took place in Science Fair in 2001 which was organized by Sharur Turkish High School. 50 paintings of the painter were exhibited in the fair. Ramil presented his "Ataturk" portrait to the School's Authority as the sign of his thanks to the School Authority for organizing the exhibition. In the same year, Ramil participated in a contest which was organised by The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism. Ramil was participating with his 12 artwork in this contest and awarded "The best painter of the Year" award. Ramil was awarded a diploma for taking first place in Young painters nominee in the painting contest of Child, Teenager and Young painters which was organised by Third Azerbaijani Youth Forum. Another exhibition of the painter was organised by Nackchivan Republic Painters Association and took place in Art Galery of the Associoation. In this exhibition 50 paintings of the painter were exhibited. In 2003 Ramil was awarded first place in an exhibition in Nackchivan Autonomus Republic and Second place in an exhibition which was organised and took place in Baku, The Capital city of Azerbaijan Republic.

The paintings of Ramil have been exhibited many times in local TV channels, there are some TV programs that are prepared about the life of the Painter, and many articles about the painter have been printed in local and national newspapers. Ramil plays games in his PC, surfs through virtual museums in internet, and talks with different people online. Moreover, Ramil is a good chess and backgammon player.
